Can I Use a Spacer to Raise Height or Trailer Ball for Level Towing
Question:
can I use spacers between the trailer ball and the ball mount to level my trailer

Trailer hitch balls aren't designed to have spacers between them and the ball mount (which is why different ball mount rise/drops exist) so I don't recommend doing that. What I recommend doing instead is picking up either a different ball mount with the correct rise/drop or an adjustable ball mount like the B&W Tow & Stow 2-Ball Mount # BWTS10037B which fits your standard 2" hitch receiver and has a 5" Drop to 5-1/2" Rise range of adjustability.
Attached is a review video of this ball mount as well as a helpful article showing how to measure for the correct rise or drop for you to check out.
A few things to keep in mind as well is that if the rise/drop you need is within 1" I wouldn't worry about trying to find something that's an exact match, and if the problem is the tongue weight of your trailer then you need to add a weight distribution system to your setup - not a space under the hitch ball.
