There is one measurement that is important to determine if the Thule Apex # TH9025XT will clear the rear of your 2013 Subaru Outback Wagon. Measure from the center of the hitch pin hole straight back to the distance required to clear the rear bumper of the vehicle. I have linked an FAQ article to the right that shows how to take this measurement.
If the distance is less than 12 inches then it will fit your Outback with Draw-Tite hitch # 75673 installed. We have actually test fitted this rack on a 2013 Subaru Outback Wagon and I have linked that video for you as well.
If you will be carrying any bikes that do not have a top frame bar that goes straight across (like a typical mens bike would) then I recommend using bike adapter bar # TH982XT. This will allow you to carry those bikes more level and will provide better ground clearance. I have to use these adapters and without them my wifes bike would be at a severe angle and I would not be able to load my sons bike at all. I have linked a video showing how the adapter works.
