Option to Replace 7k Axle on Brimar Trailer
Question:
Hello, I have a Brimar trailer and need an axle. The Brimar pn of the axle is b130-074-D. It is a 7k, 4” axle, 77” spring seat and 94.75” hub face to face. I don’t see anything on your site that matches that. Can you check if I can get a bare axle or a complete axle. Thanks

We have an option to replace your 7,000 lb axle but it would be with an axle-less suspension system as opposed to a traditional thru-axle, because as you mentioned we don't have an axle with those specifications. The system is called a Timbren Axle-Less and the part number for a 7k axle is the following:
- Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension System - Spindle w/ Brake Flange # TASR7KS01
The Timbren Axle-Less system is really an upgrade because they give you an improved ride compared to a traditional through-axle. The reason for that is the Timbrens aren't connected by an axle beam, so they work independently, meaning if there is a bump on one side of the road it won't rattle your entire trailer. The system also has progressive springs built in which are shock absorbers that allow a much smoother, more comfortable ride than the leaf springs found on standard axles.
Then for a hub and and electric brakes with this system you will need Dexter Trailer Hub and Drum Assembly # 42866UC3-EZ with Dexter Electric Trailer Brake Kit # 23-180-181.
