Solution for Replacement Parts for Discontinued 10,000 Pound Draw-Tite Weight Distribution Hitch
Question:
Have a 20 year old draw tite 10k weight distributing hitch. THey dont seem to make it anymore and I am needing a replacement spring bar. Dont know if the Curt would work but the dimensions according to your answered questions it seems to be the same. My Round bar is 1 3/8 inch in diameter and the notch seems to be the same dimensions as well as length. Do you know if they are compatible?

Parts from the Curt MV Weight Distribution System # C17052 will only work with the Curt system. Unfortunately, with no parts available the only solution is total replacement. The # C17052 would work as a replacement if you don't want sway control. You could also use the # C17062 if you want to add in a sway bar.
Another option to consider would be the Curt TruTrack Weight Distribution System # C17500. This uses trunnion bars which are easier to connect and give you better ground clearance. This system also uses L-brackets so there is no unwanted movement of the spring bars and 2-point sway control.
