Can 4-Way to 7-Way Adapter be Used to Operate Just Taillights of Trailer
Question:
I have a 2016 Mercedes Sprinter Cargo van. It was not equipped with a trailer harness from the factory. I have a 5 ton dump trailer with a 7 pole connector that I would like to pull. Which harness do you recommend? Can a 4 way flat harness work with a 7pole adaptor? I understand that the trailer brakes wont work, but it should be fine for the lights?

Yes, a 4-way to 7-way adapter like the part # 37185 would work for you to just operate the lights of your trailer that has a 7-way. Your 4-way would plug right into this and you'd be set.
