Is The Trailair Pin Box Compatible With An EAZ-Lift Gooseneck Adapter
Question:
I have a traditional trailair fifth wheel hitch it only has the airbag and shock can I bolt on a ez lift gooseneck adapter

I spoke with Lippert and was able to determine that the Eaz Lift Gooseneck adapter would physically fit the king pin of the Trailair Air Ride 5th Wheel Pin Box # LC158778, but that Lippert doesn't recommend using any adapters with their Trailair pin boxes and instead recommends replacing the pin box with a gooseneck style pin box.
If you have a 1621 bolt pattern you could replace your Trailair pin box with the Gen-Y Hitch 5th Wheel to Gooseneck Pin Box # GY58GR or Reese Goose Box 5th-Wheel-to-Gooseneck Air Ride Coupler Adapter # RP85FR. Both have upgraded features to offer a smoother ride than a standard gooseneck pin box.
