The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C11379 is going to be our easiest receiver for a novice installer on your 2017 Subaru BRZ. I have linked the installation instructions below that you can reference to determine if you feel comfortable installing the receiver.
The EcoHitch Stealth Trailer Hitch Receiver # 306-X7293 is far more complicated to install and requires the removal of the rear fascia and impact structure to complete. I feel this is better left to those with more experience to install. You can locate a shop near you by clicking the "Locate installers near me" below the images.
I recommend installing the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118629 when you install the receiver. This can be a novice installation depending on how easily you can access the chassis on your BRX. Otherwise you may want to have the service center install this as well. It will give you a 4-way flat connector. That connector will pair with small trailers you may tow as well as Auxiliary Lights # C53201 for any hitch mounted accessory that impairs the view of your tail lights.
