The Curt Class I Trailer Hitch Receiver # C11412 has a maximum gross trailer weight of 2,000 lbs and tongue weight of 200 lbs. As long as you do not exceed the capacity of the hitch or your vehicle you can tow your enclosed trailer. This means it will be fine if it's under 2,000 lbs fully loaded like you said. You will need to check your owner's manual for the towing capacity of your 2015 VW Golf.
Since you will be towing you will also need wiring and a ball mount. For the most reliable wiring harness I recommend the Tekonsha T-One # 118646. This will provide you with a 4-way to power your trailer's signal lights. For a ball mount, you can use the Draw-Tite Drawbar # 3593 along with the # 19256 for a 1-7/8" or # 19258 for a 2" ball.
