Replacement EZ Use Coupler For Horse Trailer With 2" Sleeve Lock Coupler

Question:

I watched your video of an EZ Coupler? I have the coupler that can mash your fingers plus it’s very hard for me to use. My trailer is bumper pull of course. It’s a 2 horse slant. I’m female and not that strong I have a 2011 Yukon XL Denali package that can tow to 8300 pounds. I have an 1100 lb horse. I have an SandH metal but not aluminum trailer. Questions: Would the coupler I saw you recommend on YouTube work? Thanks in advance

I recommend having the Demco A-Frame Trailer Coupler # DM14791-97 welded on in place of the Sleeve-Lock # CA-5196-B style coupler that you currently have. This Demco coupler uses a 2" hitch ball the same as your current coupler and is rated for up to 10,000lbs which is more than the maximum weight your trailer can weigh.
