Parts Needed For Flat Towing a 2020 Ford F-350 Super Duty

Question:

Have Ford 2020 F-350 Superduty. Want to install Airforce One brake system. Do I need a battery quick disconnect? Also, how does battery stay charged while being towed and brake lights being used?

Your 2020 Ford F-350 does not require a Battery Disconnect # RM-766 since the truck will not drain the battery while being flat towed.

With the Demco Air Force One Supplemental Braking System # DM26VR you will want to use a Battery Charge Line Kit # RM-156-25 to prevent the battery from being drained by the braking system.

I recommend using the Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit # RM28FR with their Roadmaster BlackHawk 2 All Terrain, Non-Binding Tow Bar # RM-422 for towing your F-350. This will combine with the RoadMaster BlackHawk 2 All Terrain Combo Towing Kit # RM-9243-3 to give you the required safety cables and wiring for connecting your tail lights on your F-350 to work off your tow vehicle tail lights.

You may need a Roadmaster High-Low Adapter like the 4" # RM-048-4 to keep the tow bars within 3" of level from the tow vehicle to your truck. With the above baseplate the height was measured at 15-1/2" on a F-350 with 275/65R20 tires and factory ride height. If you do need a High-Low adapter you will need Safety Cable Extensions # RM-910648-10 to account for the length of the adapter. This will ensure the breakaway cable activates the braking system properly.
