According to my contacts at Reese, the Multi-Tow 7-Way & 4 Pole Trailer Connector # 74682 is confirmed as a direct replacement of your factory installed 7-way wiring harness.
This product is a plug in application and you will just need to plug in to the vehicle established connector and mount the vehicle connection point on your 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee.
