Trailer Hitch and 7-Way/Brake Controller for 1971 Chevy C20
Question:
Hello I am looking for an electric brake controller / 7pole and 4pole socket conector and the right wiring harness for my Chevrolet 1971 C20 Pick Up. I would like to buy also a curt hitch that would fit my truck with the big and low rear bumper. Can you please recomment something for my car. Thanks for your answer.

To install a 7-way and brake controller in your 1971 Chevy C20 the first thing you need to install is a 4-way like the # 18252 which from there you'd convert to a 7-way since there isn't a direct fit 7-way harness for your truck. Then you would need to install the 4-way to 7-way kit # ETBC7 which also comes with everything needed to wire in a brake controller like the Prodigy P2 part # 90885 which is very reliable and great performing.
Since you have a deep drop bumper you'd need the Curt hitch part # C15511 which has the drop needed to clear your bumper, is made in the USA, and also has great towing capacities.
