E-Bike Rack Recommendation for 2021 Ram 1500 Classic

Question:

Im looking at options for being able to transport two ebikes , one bike is step through frame one isnt. I currently have a tonneau cover that folds back, so I believe the methods to secure the bikes towards the front of the bed wont work for my current setup. Any options? Im thinking perhaps tow type but wouldnt that be a waste of a good bed? I have a 2021 Ram 1500 short bed.

If you'd be open to a hitch mounted bike rack that's going to be your best option. Hitch racks offer the most secure, easiest to install/load/unload, and don't require drilling into the truck bed like bed racks do.

So what I would recommend is the Thule EasyFold XT part # TH903202. This rack was designed for carrying e-bikes as it has a frame clamp design that works with the various unusual frame types of e-bikes (like you mentioned), has a higher weight capacity for the heavier e-bikes, and also comes with a ramp setup that allows for much easier bike loading and unloading that doesn't require any lifting.
