Recommendations for Installing a 7-Way and Brake Controller in a 2006 Dodge Ram

If your 7-pin connector looks like the picture I attached and you have tested the circuits of the plug and they are functional then I would recommend you use a Hopkins Endurance Quick-Install 7-Way Trailer Connector # HM42190 for a trailer wiring harness. For a circuit tester you could use our Circuit Tester part # 3808 or something similar.
You will probably need a brake controller too, for that I recommend you get a Tekonsha P2 Brake Controller and Vehicle Harness # 90885 and # 3020-P. This will plug right in under the dash of your vehicle for an quick and easy install of the brake controller. This brake controller is one of our best sellers because of how well it works and sets up.
