How To Remove Yakima OverHaul HD Adjustable Truck Bed Ladder Rack for Tonneau Cover

I am planning to purchase a new tundra and install a Retrax XR cover. I’m looking at the outpost HD system that uses the tonneau cover adapters. I understand installation. To remove the system, do the base pads need to be reinstalled into the track of the tonneau cover or do the pads remain in the track?

In regards to the Yakima OverHaul HD Adjustable Truck Bed Ladder Rack for Tonneau Cover part # Y01151-5755, the base pads will be removed with the towers as well as the t-bolts if taking it off the truck completely. That said, the system is designed to stay in place and the tonneau cover is still functional with the rack installed.
