Recommended Baseplate For A 2022 Jeep Gladiator Rubicon

Question:

Is there any demco base plate that i can use with a 2022 gladiator rubicon, factory plastic bumper? Or another base plate that doesnt require drilling? Second question, is there any video on how to trim the metal inch skid inch plate/ protector under the plastic bumper? Thank you in advance

For your bumper there is not a compatible Demco baseplate, and there isn't an option that wouldn't require you to do some drilling so I recommend the Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit # RM-521453-5. We don't have a video on trimming the skid plate/heat shield. This process is simply trial and error and you'll want to trim a little bit off at a time because you can always remove more but can't add it back.

If you haven't gotten the rest of your flat towing components then I have the following recommendations for you:

Tow Bar: etrailer XHD Non-Binding Tow Bar for Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate # e84ZR. This tow bar has a bit of a higher weight capacity than you need since your curb weight is just over 5k and the typical tow bar has a 6k rating but I figured you'd like to haul some stuff in the bed and this way you wouldn't have to worry about going over. This tow bar also comes with safety cables built into it so you won't have to purchase them separately.

Tow Bar Wiring Kit: Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit # RM-15267. If you have ParkSense Proximity Sensors then you'll need the Roadmaster Wiring Kit with Smart Diodes for Variable Voltage LED Tail Lights # RM47ZR along with the Roadmaster 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Kit # RM-146-7 instead.

Braking System: Brake Buddy Select 3 Portable Supplemental Braking System # HM39524. The remote will allow you to see when the brakes are activated in your Gladiator and adjust the brake settings on the go. The included charge line kit will help keep your battery charged while you tow as well.
