Normally, adding a second sway control unit is not recommended unless the trailer being towed is longer than 26 feet. The first thing you will want to do is determine what is causing the sway. If it was caused by incoming traffic or cross winds, then you may be able to solve the issue by simply shifting the trailer load forward, which would add tongue weight.
If sway isn't caused by crosswinds or oncoming traffic, check trailer suspension components for excessive wear. Check tires for proper inflation. Using a friction control sway system like the Reese Friction Sway Control Kit, part # 83660, may take care of the problems you are having. Adding a second sway control unit may hinder making sharper turns. The system should be disconnected when backing up, and when towing on roads that are slippery due to snow or ice.
If that does not take care of the issue with sway control for you, the next step up that I recommend would be the Blue Ox SwayPro Weight Distribution w/ Sway Control, part # BXW0750. This system can handle up to 750 lbs tongue weight, and 8000 lbs gross trailer weight, and features sway control, which will limit the side to side trailer movement. You will want to keep in mind that tongue weight is the most important factor to consider when choosing a weight distribution system. I have linked you to an installation video on this system.
For a system that would handle tongue weight up to 600 lbs tongue weight, and 6000 lbs gross trailer weight, I would recommend part # BXW0550.
If you find that you are still having issues after making changes, there may be mechanical issues with your trailer. You will want to have the trailer checked by a qualified mechanic to locate the problems.
