Recommended Crossbar-Style Roadmaster Baseplates For A 2009 Jeep Wrangler
Question:
I had a road master system that used pn# 52289-1. This number was for a 2011 Dodge ram. I also had the same system on a 2009 Jeep Wrangler, but the bar that went into the Jeep was shorter than the one for the 2011 Ram. I am lookin for 2 of those assemblies for my jeep

For a crossbar-style baseplate like the # 52289-1 for your 2009 Jeep Wrangler you would need the Roadmaster Crossbar-Style Base Plate Kit # 1429-1. These would connect to the Roadmaster StowMaster Tow Bar # RM-501 that you were looking at.
If you haven't gotten the rest of your flat towing components for your Wrangler then I have the following recommendations as well:
Tow Bar Wiring Kit: Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit # RM-15267. This diode kit will transfer your brake and turn signals through your Wrangler's tail lights to keep you street legal.
The battery will need to be disconnected while flat towing so I also recommend installing the Roadmaster Automatic Battery Disconnect with Switch for Towed Vehicle w/ Supplemental Braking System # RM-766 to make this as easy as flipping a switch.
Braking System: Brake Buddy Select 3 Portable Supplemental Braking System - Proportional # HM39524. This system comes with a remote which allows you to adjust the brake settings on the go and will display whenever the brakes are being applied in your Wrangler.
Safety Cables: RoadMaster 68" Single Hook, Coiled Safety Cables # RM-643. The coiled design of these cables will help keep them from dragging on the ground.
