Replacement Actuator For An Atwood 82543 Surge Brake Actuator
Question:
Can I replace my current Atwood 82543 welded on actuator with this one? I have a 1995 DHM tandem trailer for a Mastercraft 205, 6000 lbs. It has surge brakes, 2 inch ball and 3 inch tongue. I’m looking to replace with a lower profile actuator.

The closest option we have that will replace your Atwood 82543 is The Demco Hydraulic Brake Actuator # DM72VR. This actuator does not have the lockout function that the Atwood did, you will need to get The Lockout # T4748800. This lockout will wire into the reverse lights on your vehicle via the circuit on your trailer connector.
