Fifth Wheel to Gooseneck Cushioned Adapter CAB-C5GX1216 Cannot Exceed a 4,000 lbs Tongue Weight

Question:

My 5th wheel is 15500gvw and 2650 tongue weight. The adaptor is good for 20,000 but only 2,000 on tongue weight. Will this adaptor handle my tongue weight? I am hauling a 06 Victory lane 36 toyhauler.

The Fifth Wheel to Gooseneck Cushioned Adapter, item # CAB-C5GX1216, will now handle up to 4,000 pounds tongue weight.

If you need an adapter with more tongue weight capacity then the Ranch Hitch Universal 5th-Wheel-to-Gooseneck Coupler Adapter, item # AM3100, would be a good choice. This is a semi permanent installation and the capacity is up to 6,000 pounds tongue weight.

Due to the weight you have, you may want to invest in a fifth wheel hitch. If you want to reply with the year, make and model of your vehicle, I will be happy to recommend some fifth wheel hitches.
