Will this lp/co2 detector work as a replacement for a 3 wire Atwood detector?

Yes, the RV Propane Gas and Carbon Monoxide Detector # RS34FR can be used to replace your 3-wire Atwood Detector. The third wire is just an extra power supply wire in case your first power source were to be depleted. Most likely you have power directly from the battery with the second being wired to your trailer's DC distribution panel in the power center. You can just cap off the secondary power when installing the # RS34FR.
