Expert Reply:
You will need the Curt Weld-On 2" Receiver # E17 to have a custom receiver built for your 2004 Mitsubishi Galant ES 2.4L. There is currently not an aftermarket receiver being produced for your Galant.
The Vehicle Wiring Harness Kit # C59496 will allow you to wire in a 4-way flat connector. This will be needed for most small trailers you may tow and can also be used with Auxiliary Lights # C53201. The auxiliary lights are needed if your hitch mounted accessory impairs the view of your tail lights to other drivers.
