There are a few different ways to connect the Curt Discovery Trailer Brake Controller # C84VV to your 2005 Toyota Tacoma and it just depends on whether you have the tow package or not. I've listed what you'll need in both scenarios below.
With Tow Package
Curt Discovery - # C84VV

Without Tow Package
Curt Discovery - # C84VV
Pigtail - # C51515
4-Way Wiring - # C55513 (if you don't already have one)
