Brake Kit for Forest River Sandpiper 3440BH With 6,000 Pound Axles

Question:

I have a Forrest River Sandpiper 5th 3440bh. I considering changing my electric brakes to hydraulic. My existing tandem axles are 6000 pounds. My wheels are 16” with 6 on 5-1/2 lugs. Is there a complete system like the HSE7K-T1 that will work with my 6 on 5-1/2 16” wheels. Thanks

Although there isn't a full kit like the # HSE7K-T1 with the 6 on 5-1/2 bolt pattern you need, we can put one together. The first thing you will need is the Hydrastar Electric-Hydraulic Actuator w/ Line Kit for Disc Brakes - 1,600 psi # CAR-HBA16-2. This will cover your brake lines as well as the actuator. It also comes with a breakaway kit.

Then for the actual disc brakes you have some options depending on what finish you want. All of the following options from Kodiak are for a 6,000 lb axle and have a 6 on 5-1/2 bolt pattern.

-Dacromet # K2HR526D

-Dacromet/KodaGuard # K2HR526DKG

-Dacromet and Stainless # K2HR526DS

Once you choose the brakes you want you will have a complete kit to upgrade your Forest River Sandpiper 3440BH.

I have attached some review and installation videos for your reference.
