Can 2 or 4 Scissor Jacks be Used to Stabilize Car Hauler Trailer when Not Connected to Tow Vehicle
Question:
Can I use this jack 1 on each side on my enclosed car trailer to load and unload the car when not hooked to the towing vehicle? My car weighs 3500#. Would it be necessary to use one jack on each corner of the trailer or can I just use 2 jacks on the rear? Thanks

The Ultra-Fab scissor jacks, # UF48-979002, are designed to stabilize a trailer and are not designed for lifting. Once you have the trailer in place and while still hoked up to the tow vehicle you would then use the jacks to stabilize the trailer and then you could unhook from the tow vehicle.
Because the load would be moving from the front to the back and them off the trailer I recommend using one on each corner for safety. Having extra scissor jacks is better than not having enough. I have included a link to a video review of these jacks for you.
To speed up the raising and lowering of the scissor jacks you can attach adapter # UF48-979005 to a 3/8 inch drive powered drill so it will take a fraction of the time to raise and lower compared to cranking the jacks manually.
