Fifth Wheel Options for a 2013 Ram 3500HD with Factory 5th Wheel Prep
Question:
I just purchased a 2013 Ram 3500Hd crew with 6 4inch bed and factory 5th wheel prep package. Can you recommend a premium 16K DIY 5th wheel hitch and installation kit for a 10K trailer.

The only option we have for 2013 Ram 3500hd trucks with the hitch prep package at this point is to first use a Reese Rail Kit Mounting Adapter # RP30154. This will allow a standard fifth wheel hitch to be installed in your truck.
Since you have a short bed truck you are going to need to get a hitch with a slider. For that I recommend the Reese 16k Slider Hitch # RP30075. This hitch has a round tube slider which operates much smoother than a square tube slider and has a 2-jaw locking system that provides less rattle and more security than some of the slide-bar models.
