Can You Use Friction Sway Control With A Vehicle That Has Electronic Sway Control?
Question:
I heard or read that the old tried and true sway bar sway control shouldn't be used when the TV has built-in electronic sway control as they will work against each other. What is the word from the experts?

That's correct it's not that it can't be used, it's just that using a friction sway control kit # 83660 with a tow vehicle that already has electronic sway control would not be nearly as effective as a good weight distribution/sway control set-up.
Rather than use both, I recommend picking an affective WD/SC setup like the:
-Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System w/ 4-Point Sway Control # EQ37100ET.
This system has a tongue weight range of 600-1,000lbs, and has integrated 4-point sway control that limits side to side movement of your trailer.
Once that is figured, you're going to want a system that has your tongue weight in the middle of the tongue weight range.
However, when it comes to picking out the correct WDS, you'll want to take note of your total tongue weight which is your fully loaded, ready-to-go trailer and all additional weight behind your rear axle.
