Brake Controller Does Not Work After Installation on a 2005 Chevy Silverado
Question:
I have installed Curtis triflex #51140 brake control in my 05 silvrado z71 using the quik plug that came with it all from you guys. Nothings working, I pluged in 2nd location on box underdash but only one wire tests hot and thats with brake pressed and truck running,so do I need to run two more wires underhood into that box+and- with an inline fuse to feed brake box power? If I do that will will I need to run more wires to hitch plug or should they be there?

On certain year Chevy trucks there are additional connections that need to be made under the hood to make everything fully functional. I have included a link to an FAQ article to help you.
Make sure that you are plugging in the harness into the spot on the top row, second from the left. The Curt harness you should be using is # C51352. With the brake controller plugged into the right spot and all the under hood connections made and fuses in place the brake controller should work just fine.
