Roadmaster or Blue Ox and Parts Needed to Flat Tow a 2019 Chevrolet Spark Manual Transmission

Im wanting to flat tow my 2019 Chevy Spark manual shift without ACTIV behind my motorhome. Would you recommend the Blue Ox or Roadmaster system? Why? Thanks

Both Roadmaster and Blue Ox are great systems that are made in the USA and you can't go wrong with either option. That being said, I would give the slight edge to Roadmaster due to the limited lifetime warranty on their products. I have included the parts you would need to flat tow your 2019 Chevrolet Spark Manual Transmission (w/o ACTIV) below.

Base Plate Kit: Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit # RM-523202-5

Tow Bar: Roadmaster Nighthawk All Terrain, Non-Binding Tow Bar # RM-676 (this includes the safety cables which are a required part)

Tow Bar Wiring: Roadmaster Tail Light Wiring Kit for Towed Vehicles # RM-152-LED (you will also need the Roadmaster Automatic Battery Disconnect with Switch for Towed Vehicle w/ Supplemental Braking System # RM-766)

Supplemental Braking System: Demco Stay-IN-Play DUO Supplemental Braking System # DM86VR

You may also need a high-low adapter. I have included a help article that goes over how to determine this. I have included our selection of high-low adapters so you can choose the appropriate option if one is needed.

You will also want to consult the owners manual of your 2019 Chevrolet Spark to ensure you are doing everything that is recommended/required for flat towing.
