Roof Rack Recommendations for the Thule Hullavator # TH898 on a 2010 Toyota FJ Cruiser w/Bare Roof

Question:

What roof rack make, model, size and bracket can I use on my 2010 FJ Cruiser to be compatible with one 1 Thule Hullivator Kayak Lift? I currently do not have any racks installed on my vehicle roof. Include any photos or videos you can to show your recommendation. Ive been searching and calling around for about 4 days and finally came across your website, hoping you can assist so I can process an order. Thank you!

The absolute best option to mount a Thule Hullavator # TH898 onto your 2010 Toyota FJ Cruiser is by using Inno Square Crossbars.

The length of the Inno Square crossbars you need depends on the measurement between the top of your driver's-side door surface to the top of your passenger's-side door surface. This is where the Inno Feet # INSUT mount onto your roof to hold up the crossbars. For example, for the Inno Square 50" Crossbars # INB127 to be the correct size for the Hullavator to function, the measurement from your driver's side to the passenger's side of your door's surfaces must not exceed 42" across. For the Inno Square Crossbars - 65" # INB165, the the measurement from the driver's side to the passenger's side of your door's surfaces must not exceed 57" across. I strongly recommend making the door surface to door surface measurement to see what length you need. As far as attaching to the bars, the Hullavator will clamp on perfectly to the Inno bars because they have the exact same dimensions as Thule SquareBars.

The reason for these measurements is because the Hullavator needs at least 4 inches of available crossbar space past the feet in order to go into the downward function. I went ahead and attached a screenshot that shows this required dimension.

To complete the setup, you also need the custom fit kit # INK580 in order to clamp the # INSUT into your door jambs. With this roof rack, you will have a maximum weight capacity of 120 pounds. With the Hullavator installed, you have a maximum capacity of 80.3 pounds for your kayak.
