Recommended Friction Sway Bar For A Flagstaff Microlite 26 Foot Trailer
Question:
We have an e150 van towing a flagstaff microlite 23brds 26foot trailer. We get kicked around when a car or truck passes us on the hwy, and have to stay off altogether in a greater than 10mph winds. We have a friction sway bar, and it was suggested we put another on, will having two installed help? Thanks

When it comes to installing a friction sway bar on your Flagstaff Microlite 26 foot trailer The Reese Friction Sway Control Kit - Economy - by Draw-Tite, Reese and Hidden Hitch # 83660 will work for you. I recommend using two of them since you have a 26 foot trailer.
Using this bar will reduce trailer sway caused by winds, curving roads or sudden maneuvers. It also will let you adjust tension for the perfect amount of control and resistance. It installs and removes quickly and easily and can attach to either side of the trailer tongue.
For trailers exceeding 26 foot long you will need to use two friction sway controls or dual cam sway control.
