Sealing Water From Getting Into 6-Way Connector On Flat Towed Vehicle Connection
Question:
I had a Blue Ox baseplate and Demco light and brake kit installed by Gallman Hitch here in Fort Myers,FL and they used your 6 pin round female connector with male pins on the car. With the rubber boot seated properly and electrical tape from the flange of the plug where the boot sits to about 6 inches of wire past the end of the boot, water still gets in and causes issues. Even packing the back of the pins with dielectric grease doesnt help. any suggestions? Thank you

The Deka Self-Fusing Auto Tape # DW04368 can be used to seal around the back of the RoadMaster 6-Wire Trailer Connector # RM-910030-7. The tape forms a permanent bond that is both airtight and waterproof and is resistant to UV rays, oil, and corrosive chemicals.
