Can you tell me if this will fit into the previous generation hold up rack? The grey ones? the tubing looks the same. Trying to confirm.

When replacing the spine for the Yakima Hold Up The Replacement Spine for Yakima Plus 2 2-Bike Add-On for Yakima HoldUp # Y8890279 will work for the 2 bike add on.

If you are looking for just the original spine for the Yakima HoldUp bike rack then you need # 8890277.

The only 2 bike add-on that's compatible with the Yakima HoldUp part #Y02479 that you referenced is the EVO add-on part #Y02482. The previous model Holdup is not compatible with the EVO version.
