Does Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution EQ37100ET Come With Shank & Hitch Ball
Question:
I am looking at Item # EQ37100ET, and trying to ascertain- does it come with the 2 5/16th ball in the kit? If so- is that installed in the hitch when it arrives or will I have to install the ball onto the hitch myself? Also- does it come with the shank or I do I need to purchase that separately? Any other accessories I will need or specialized sockets etc I will need to install? Thanks

Expert Reply:
Yes, both the shank and the 2-5/16" hitch ball are included with the Equal-i-zer weight distribution hitch you asked about:
- Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System w/ 4-Point Sway Control # EQ37100ET
So you do not have to purchase those separately, though the hitch ball is not already installed on the # EQ37100ET. To install the hitch ball, you'll want to use a specific socket to make it much simpler; the socket will allow much simpler access the nut that holds the hitch ball, which is why you want to use it. I have added a link below to a video which shows this.
The correct part for the socket is the 1-7/8" 12pt Thin Walled Socket - 3/4" Drive # ALL643216.
