Best Weight Distribution System for a Grand Design Imagine 3100RD
Question:
I just started to research weight distribution hitches and what Ive learned so far is that they range in price from $300 to $3,000. What would be a good choice for pulling a Grand Design Imagine 3100RD with UVW/5,500lb and 515 Hitch weight. My plan is to use a F-150 4x4 with tow package. Any input would be more than I currently know and much appreciated!

I would be happy to help you find a weight distribution system for your Grand Design Imagine 3100RD, in an affordable price range. It looks like your loaded tongue weight is going to be just below 800 lbs. I recommend the Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System w/ 4-Point Sway Control item # EQ37100ET. This system has a maximum capacity of 10,000 lbs and a tongue weight range of 600 lbs - 1,000 lbs. It includes a 2-5/16" hitch ball and you will be able to back up with the system connected. I have linked a review video below.
If you need a 2" hitch ball you will want the item # A-90.
I saw you were looking at the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Trailer Brake Controller item # 90195. This is a proportional brake controller that activates your trailer brakes in proportion to your vehicle's braking action.
