Comparing etrailer and Dexter 89" 3,500 Pound Axles With 5 on 4-1/2 Idler Hubs

Question:

What is the difference between the etrailer axle e65GR and Dexter 35545I-EZ-89? Which do you recommend as a replacement? They are nearly the same price, I was just wondering if one is better than the other? Thank you.

There are only two real differences between the # e65GR and the Dexter # 35545I-EZ-89. One is the compatible wheel size. The etrailer axle works with 13" - 15" wheels while the Dexter axle works with 13" - 17-1/2" wheels.

The other is the warranty. The etrailer axle comes with a limited lifetime warranty and lifetime technical support from etrailer.com, while the Dexter has a 2-year warranty. Aside from this they are virtually identical. If you have wheels that are larger than 15" I would choose the Dexter axle. Otherwise I would choose the etrailer axle for the warranty and support.

I have attached some review videos for your reference.
