Can I Run Two Transmission Coolers on a 2010 Chevrolet Tahoe?

Question:

Hello sir thank you again for the very informative video, but I do have another question in regards to this video. I noticed that the stock trans oil cooler was either removed or wasnt installed from the factory. My vehicle has the stock OEM transmission oil cooler in the front and it has two oil lines coming from it, one goes to the side of the radiator and the other goes to the transmission. Im curious to know will this particular kit #13504 from Derale still work with my SUV. I was considering installing the Derale #13503 in conjunction with my stock OEM transmission cooler. Im confused in which way to go with this aftermarket oil cooler install. Any type of advice will be greatly appreciated. Thank you again sir.

If you're planning on keeping your OEM transmission cooler then you will want to measure the space you have left to ensure you have enough room to add an aftermarket cooler to your set up. You will also want to make sure you are not blocking too much of your radiator and causing your engine to overheat. The Derale Series 8000 Plate-Fin Transmission Cooler Kit w/Barb Inlets - Class III - Efficient item # D13503 you referenced is 11" Wide x 8-3/4" tall x 7/8" deep. You would be able to connect it in series to your OEM cooler. This will require you to add more transmission oil to your Tahoe.

In case you need to go with a smaller cooler. We also have the Derale Series 8000 Plate-Fin Transmission Cooler Kit w/Barb Inlets - Class II - Efficient item # D13501. This cooler is 11" Wide x 5-3/4" tall x 7/8" deep.
