Can I Use the Swagman XC2 # S64650 for a Single 57-Pound Lectric E-Bike?

Question:

Can we carry ONE of our 57 lb Lectric bike? The specs said it can carry two bikes at 35lbs or less for each.

While we do have great racks for your Lectric bike, the Swagman XC2 # S64650 does not provide you with the weight capacity you need for your bike. This is because the 35 pound weight capacity applies per bike. Exceeding the single bike weight capacity on a rack can be extremely dangerous.

As a great alternative, I recommend the Swagman Current # S64678. The Current comes with a 60-pound per bike weight capacity that is perfect for your 57-pound Lectric. As for compatability, the Current fits bikes with tire diameters between 20" - 29" and wheelbases up to 50". It also fits fat tires up to 5" wide. In order to make sure you have enough shank length to clear your rear bumper with the rack folded up, I recommend you measure the distance from the center of your hitch's pinhole to the outside surface of your bumper. As long as that length is less than 5-3/4", you are good to go!

If you happen to have a Lectric model that is a step-thru frame style, you need a bike frame adapter bar # 64005. This adapter provides your frame with a straight, horizontal frame that is required to attach to the arms of the Current.
