Will Kenda ST145R12 Radial Trailer With Black Wheel Support 2,000 lb Trailer

Question:

Can you get me a ST145R12 Radial Trailer Tire with a 12" Aluminum Wheel - 5 on 4-1/2 - Load Range D. I don't see any combos like this. I would like to upgrade from the 10 inch tires which are a 205/65-10, I presently have on trailer to 12 inch radial tires for a long-distance trip I have coming up 1200 miles each way. Will these tires handle my dual jet ski trailer weight? The skis are probably about 750 lbs each, and the trailer another 500lbs. It is a continental trailer with 2 kawasaki ultra jet skis on it.

Absolutely; since the total weight of your jet skis and trailer is 2,000 lbs, you can absolutely use the ST145R12 load range D. We don't have any tire and wheel combo like this but you can certainly purchase the wheel and tire separately and then have them mounted at a local shop.

For this, I recommend:

- Kenda Karrier S-Trail ST145/R12 Radial Trailer Tire - Load Range D # AM10130
and the
- Aluminum Lynx Trailer Wheel - 12" x 4" Rim - 5 on 4-1/2 - Silver # LH45FR

These tires have a capacity of 1,220 lbs - per tire - when inflated to their max 65 psi, so two of them will give you a total capacity of 2,440 lbs, so you'll have some room to spare.

It's definitely a smart idea to go with these radial trailer tires, as radial tires (compared to bias tires, which you see on a lot of smaller trailers) run cooler so they are much better for highway use.

The Lynx is a great looking aluminum wheel.
