Troubleshooting Wrong 4-Way Flat Pin Size After Accident with 2012 Lexus RX 450h
Question:
I had an after market hitch and wiring adapter in my car 2012 lexus rx450h After a rear end accident the body shop changed both and now the car side plug is too large to accept my trailer plug. Both are 4 pin flat. I am wondering if there is a metric version of these? I cant find any info on different sizes and need an adapter. I measured the car plug to be about .1 larger than the trailer plug. The trailer plug instead of fitting over the car plug is the same size. Thank you.

I've never heard of different-sized 4-Way flat connectors so I'm guessing the original 4-Way installed on your 2012 Lexus RX 450h is still there and was damaged when you were rear-ended. If you swap it out with the T-One # 118252 this will fix your problem. You can try adjusting the pins on your vehicle-side 4-Way but I would be concerned about damaging something on the wiring or your vehicle so swapping everything out is a better solution.
Attached is an installation video of this wiring kit install on a 2012 Lexus RX 350 for you to check out.
