Bike Rack Recommendation for 2 E-Bikes on a Motorhome
Question:
According to one answer from question regarding a 25 ft Navion Motorhome. The response said the SAR42RR is NOT motorhome approved. He then refers you to HLY84FR and states it has a ramp. I DO NOT SEE A RAMP?? 1 I have a RAD mini 4 and a RAD Mini stepthrough. According to RAD the Mini 4 is 59 lbs without battery and the Step through is 61 lbs without battery. I can take the seat off and be under the 60 lbs. 2 I need a ramp I cannot lift bike on a bike rack. I am a female and 70 years old. 3 I will be utilizing a 2022 Thor Quantum MB24 which is 25 feet 4 inches and a Class B+ or Class C. ALSO a 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe SUV. 4 My first choice is the SAR42RR because of the electric ramp. IF I cannot us on the motorhome is there another bike rack that will accommodate ME and the VEHICLES and the BIKES. If not my second option was either the HLYRV84FR or the HLY 64FR i WILL HAVE TO BUY 20 IN WHEEL ADAPTERS AND BIKE FRAME ADAPTER BAR FOR THE STEP THOUGH. Your input is greatly appreciated.

I can definitely clear up some of the confusion. While it is correct that the Saris Door County # SAR42RR is not approved to use on the back of RVs, the Sport Rider SE # HLY84FR does not come with a ramp. Even though the # HLY84FR gets the job done, I recommend going with the RV Rider # HLY64FR that you mentioned. This is because you do not need a bike frame adapter bar to use this rack with your step-thru frame like you would with the Sport Rider SE. Also, the RV Rider is perfect for your motorhome and your 2019 Hyundai Sante Fe.
As far as the 20 inch wheel adapter, you do not need one for using a 20" wheel on the RV Rider. I went ahead and confirmed that the adapters already come with the RV Rider to fit that wheel size.
We unfortunately do not carry a bike rack that has a ramp and has the weight capacity you need to transport your bikes.
If you need a hitch recommendation for your motorhome, I recommend going with the Adjustable Width Trailer Hitch Receiver for RVs, 22" to 72" Wide # 13703. Not only does this hitch provide you with 350 pounds of tongue weight capacity, it also has adjustable brackets that fit wide frames. In order to make sure that this hitch fits your Thor Quantum, I recommend measuring your frame from left to right to make sure it falls between 22-72 inches wide.
For a hitch for your 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe, I recommend using the Draw-Tite - 2" # 75908. Not only does this hitch install super close to your rear bumper to decrease bumper clearance issues with accessories, it also comes with a super easy installation process that only takes about 50 minutes to complete.
