Will Timbren Axle-Less System Fit Harbor Freight Trailer with L-Shaped Frame

Question:

I would like to upgrade my trailer for more ground clearance. I would like recommendations for this axle-less suspension the hubs and the wheels/tires. I am also questioning the ability of the harbor freight L-channel frame to accept this Timbren system - if the square tubing between the two assemblies LandR would be sufficient or if additional reinforcement would be needed before mounting.

The Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension System - 4" Lift Spindle w/Flange # ASR1THDS03 can be installed on an L-Shaped trailer frame like what you have on your Harbor Freight trailer. If the upright on the frame is towards the outside of the trailer then you can install this system directly otherwise you'll need to fill in that space with something like a 2x4 so the Timbren bracket has something to sit against. I confirmed this with my contact at Timbren.

For an idler hub you can use part # AKIHUB-545-35-EZ-K but if you're needing/wanting to install brakes on your trailer you'll need the hub and drum # AKHD-545-35-EZ-K as well as the brake kit # AKEBRK-35-SA.

When it comes to wheels/tires you need wheels with a 5 on 4-1/2" bolt pattern and then a tire that matches the same size you currently have. I've attached a link to our selection of tires/wheels that use the 5 on 4-1/2" bolt pattern for you to filter through but if you let me know what the tire size is (found on the tire sidewall) I'd be more than happy to make a recommendation for you on that as well.

Attached are some videos for you to check out.
