Do Prodigy P3 and P2 Brake Controllers Fit 2012 Chevy Silverado
Question:
dear sirs, in doing my research on trailer brake controllers, i am choosing the tekonsha brand. i have a 2012 silverado and the tekonsha website says they dont have any controllers to fit my truck. why am i finding the 90195 and the 90885 on your site will work and you even have videos to prove it? i understand the p2 90885 does not have the extras that the p3 90195 has. is that correct and will either one work with my 2012 silverado? thanks,

The Prodigy P3 # 90195 and the P2 part # 90885 are both a fit for your 2012 Chevy Silverado and would work really well. I am not sure why they weren't showing up for you but I can assure you we have confirmed they fit your truck with Tekonsha and we have personally installed several in your exact truck over the years.
The P3 does have a few more bells and whistles like a screen that uses full words instead of codes and has ability to save trailer presets unlike the P2 but the actual mechanism that controls the trailer brakes is exact same between the two.
