Parts Needed to Add Brakes to Ingersoll Rub-R-Ride 2000 lb Trailer Axle
Question:
I recently bought a small Fibreglass camper which has a Ingersoll Rub-R-Ride 2000lb axel. The axel has trailer brake flanges 4”x4” and is pre-wired to put electric brakes on. There are 4”x4” trailer brake flanges on the axel for brakes. I am not sure what model the current drum/hub is but it is a 5x4.5” bolt circle and the trailer has 13” wheels on it. Do you know by axel model and capacity if this is the right Hub and Drum kit to fit my 2000lb Ingersoll Rub-R-Ride axel? Thank you very much in advance

The Dexter trailer hub part # 8-257-5UC3 is the correct fit for the 2,000 lb axle you have on your trailer and has the correct wheel bolt pattern as well. Then for the correct brake assemblies you'd need the part # 23-47 for the left hand side and part # 23-48 for the right hand side. This setup is also compatible with 13 inch wheels like you have as well.
