In order to tow your trailer you will need to add a hitch to your 1997 Mazda B2300. I recommend the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # 75082. This is a Class III hitch with a 2" receiver. It has a maximum gross trailer weight of 4,000 lbs and tongue weight of 400 lbs. You will need to find the towing capacity of your vehicle since that will be the limiting factor.

Since you will be towing you will also need wiring. The most reliable wiring harness is the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118325. This will provide you with a 4-way to power your trailer's signal lights.

For a complete towing setup you will also need a ball mount. Check out the etrailer Ball Mount Kit # 989900. This kit has two ball mounts, one with a 3/4" rise or 2" drop and the other with a 2-3/4" rise or 4" drop. It also comes with a 1-7/8" and 2" ball, as well as a ball mount bag to store everything in.

I have attached some review and installation videos for your reference.
