Brake Controller Recently Installed on 2007 GMC Sierra Classic not Getting Power
Question:
I purchased a Curt Triflex brake controller along with the adapter plug for my 2007 GMC Sierra Classic 1500. After installing I have no power to the controller. Is there a missing fuse in the power distribution box that I need to install?

There might be a missing fuse, or the final connection at the fuse block might not be complete. If you look at photo E in the FAQ article I have linked to, you can see the 30 amp fuse that activates the power feed to the controller. Between the power distribution box under the hood and the firewall, there should be a red wire with a ring terminal on the end of it. This ring terminal should be attached to the power stud closest to the firewall.
Insert the fuse if it is missing, or make the connection if it has not already been connected and you should be good to go.
