Parts Needed To Flat Tow a 2013 GMC Sierra 1500 With ReadyBrake Tow Bar/Brake System

Question:

I would like to get information about all Items I would need to install the Reddybrake tow bar with blue ox tabs and accessories for a 2013 GMC Sierra. It will be towed by a 2004 Itaska Suncruiser 33V 8.1 Workhorse, 5000 lb hitch.

The Blue Ox Base Plate Kit # BX1674 will allow you to connect your ReadyBrake tow bar to your 2013 GMC Sierra 1500. You may need a adapter like the High-Low Adapter # RM-048-4 to help level your tow bars so they are not damaged by extreme angles. Most tow bar systems want to be within 3" of level to prevent damage to the tow bars.

The Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit # RM-15267 will provide you with the wiring and diodes needed to use the tail lights on your Sierra which will activate from the 7-way on your 2004 Itaska Suncruiser 33V. I recommend using the Roadmaster Battery Charge Line Kit # RM-156-25 with the 7-way to ensure the battery on your Sierra does not become drained when you are flat towing.
