Dexter Torflex Lift Spacer Kit with 8 Inch On Center Mounting Holes

Question:

I have an ATC car hauler aluminum flatbed trailer that I’d like to lift a few inches. The trailer is a dual axle trailer rated to 5,680 lbs with hole spacing on the torsion axles at 8” on center. I can’t seem to find the axle sticker to identify what models I have. Any ideas which lift kit do I need?

The Dexter # K71-725-02 lift kit is designed for # 12 Torflex axles with a 5000-7000 lb capacity. The holes on the horizontal plane are spaced at 9 inches on center, and 9-1/2 inches on center for the vertical plane. Given the capacity and the hole spacing you provided, this wouldn't be the correct kit for you.

Knowing nothing about your axle but the capacity and bolt spacing for the axle mounting plates, it sounds as if you have a Torflex # 10, which has an 8 inch bolt spacing. For that, you'd need the # K71-707-02 which provides 2-5/8 inches of lift. This kit won't work if the axle mounting plates are the 3 inch tall high-profile brackets. If you indeed have a Dexter Torflex # 10 axle, this lift kit will work.
