Best Trunk Mount Bike Rack for 2012 Audi A3
Question:
What is the best trunk rack for my 2012 Audi A3? I used the search but have read some reviews away from this site that were not so good with some of the suggestions on this site. Just want to make sure before I purchase.

Hands down my favorite trunk mount rack is the Yakima FullBack 2 Bike Rack # Y02634 which fits your 2012 Audi A3 when you place the base pad 1" above the bumper and place the hub setting at 5. When I've seen review of people not liking this rack their complaint is usually about the difficulty of install but this only uses 4 straps as opposed to 6 straps that other racks use and the way the arms and body adjusts is much easier than other trunk mount racks I've messed with.
I actually got the opportunity to install this rack on a 2020 Audi Q7 which I'm linking for you to check out. In this video I mention placing the hooks into the "anchor" mode but you won't do that for your 2012 A3. The adapter bar I mentioned in the video can be found here # Y02531.
