Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at this Redarc solar remote monitor. Now, this Redarc 12 volt and 24 volt solar remote monitor will allow you to monitor solar panels, battery, and system information. This product is compatible with the Redarc 10 amp, 20 amp, and 30 amp solar regulators that we do sell separately on our website. And it will include everything you see here on the table.
It includes the monitor itself, the mounting base that it attaches to, all the installation hardware to install it. Does come with a 32 foot long RJ45 ethernet cable, and a nice user's guide that will describe how this connects and how it operates. But basically, this monitor has this nice, large three inch backlit LED display. And it allows the user to monitor the solar panels, the battery, and the system information to keep track of what the solar panels are producing and the state of the battery charge. This will provide the panel charging information, real time system monitoring, and it is required for battery setting and configuration setting changes to the range of regulators.
And I wanted to show you one of the regulators that we're talking about this is designed to work with. This happens to be the 30 amp model. But the Redarc solar regulators, they can be used on AGM, flooded, lead-acid and calcium batteries. But when you get them from the factory, they can only be used with the AGM batteries. They would have to be changed to work on the other batteries, and the only way you can change that is by using this monitor right here.
This monitor will basically plug into the regulator. If you look on the regulator right here, if I pull this plug off, have a connection right here. So, you take the coordinates included here, and the plug that has the collar on it is what will plug right into the regulator just like that. And then once that's plugged in, you take your other end and that'll plug into the back of the monitor right up here. And then with that connected, it'll pull up and you'll be able to change the battery type that this regulator would work on, because from the factory, it will only work on AGM batteries.
So, the monitor is needed for that. I do wanna give you a few dimensions on this. The, when this is installed, you can see it installs in this mounting base. And the size of it in the mounting base is gonna be right at 4 1/2 inches by 4 1/2 inches. And the height of it is right at two inches tall. But that should do it for the review on the Redarc solar remote monitor..
